Organic oils for hair care

Hair is considered by us women a real weapon of seduction. A beautiful shiny hair, which attracts the gaze of those around us, is a bit the hidden desire of all of us.

Unfortunately, every day, we have to deal with many factors that can damage them: time, dyes, the heat of the hair dryer and straightener, stress, poor diet, etc. For this reason, our hair needs special attention and specific products, such as nourishing masks or organic oils.

The latter, in particular, are considered precious and effective natural remedies, since ancient times.

This is testified by the findings in Egyptian tombs, by archaeologists, of jars containing oils. Queen Cleopatra, for example, used olive oil mixed with other essences, to sprinkle it on her face, body and hair.

But how can we integrate oils into our beauty routine and make them true allies for our beauty?

Read to the end to find out.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CONVENTIONAL OILS AND ORGANIC OILS

Conventional cosmetic oils are predominantly composed of silicones and mineral oils, unlike organic oils which, on the other hand, contain exclusively plant extracts and organic essential oils.

Conventional oils provide a false repairing and softening effect on the hair, Why? To better understand how silicones work, let's try to imagine what would happen to our beautiful hair if we wrapped it in transparent kitchen film. Well, surely the hair shaft would find itself isolated from the outside and, consequently, the passage of nourishing and moisturizing substances could no longer take place ending with theprogressively weaken the hair fibre. Here, silicones perform the same function as kitchen foil. On the other hand, if you think about it, both silicones and mineral oils are nothing more than plastic derivatives.

The natural oils, on the contrary, they do not contain traces of silicones and they are rich in fatty acids that truly nourish and repair the hair fiber. Thanks to their composition rich in nutrients and unsaponifiables, they are very effective for revitalising, nourishing and repairing hair, as well as for recovering brittle hair, with split ends, dull hair, etc. Besides, they also perform excellent benefits for the scalp, balancing it and preventing conditions such as dandruff, itching, dermatitis or flaking.

WHICH TO CHOOSE FOR EVERY NEED

Well, now that we understand the theory, let's move on to practice!

What are the best organic oils according to our needs?

HAIR LOSS OIL

  • Rebio anti-hair loss oil: Excellent growth stimulant. Thanks to its formula, containing clover and bean, it has been designed to counteract excessive hair loss and maintain its natural life cycle. To be applied after shampooing with a short pose of 5 minutes and then rinsed with plenty of water.
  • Castor oil La Saponaria: Castor oil on hair counteracts hair loss and makes hair strong and resistant. It is the ideal aid to increase the length of the strands, where the hair has started to break and become frizzy.
  • Cotton Oil Janas Herbs: Excellent nourishing and detangling hair, it restructures it and makes it soft and shiny. For best results, I recommend mixing cottonseed oil with castor oil, since the latter has a very viscous consistency.

100% ANTI-FRIZZ OIL

  • Khadi coconut oil: With a few drops of this oil, thanks to yours hydrophobic properties that prevent the entry of water and particles from the surrounding air, you can free yourself, once and for all, from the hated frizz effect and, at the same time, protect your hair from the aggressions of heat and UV rays, preventing damage or l 'weakening.
  • Rebio anti frizz oil: Excellent leave-in against split ends with a detangling action. The almond and argan essential oils carry out a polishing and repairing action on the hair shaft, counteracting the formation of split ends.

HENNA HAIR OIL

  • Multi Oil Gentleaf: helps maintain the color of dyeing herbs and henna. Softens, polishes and gives elasticity to the hair. Small tip: massaged into hair hardened by gel and styling, it eliminates the cast or "crunchy" effect.
  • khadi Color Care oil: it is an excellent post henna fixative thanks to the synergy of vegetable oils and ayurvedic herbs.

ANTI-DANDRUFF OIL

  • Khadi neem oil: Natural 100% oil with a formula to reduce dandruff and itchy scalp. Quickly restores balance to the skin and activates its self-healing capacity.
  • Hazelnut oil Janas herbs: useful against the excessive production of sebum in the skin. Hazelnut oil, in fact, boasts astringent, pore purifying and emollient properties

HAIR OIL: HOW TO USE IT

There are three ways to apply oils to hair: as a pre-shampoo pack, on wet hair after cleansing and on dry hair for styling. Let's try to figure out which of the three to choose depending on the result we want to achieve.

Oil as a pre-shampoo pack: this is the ideal solution for those with "mixed hair", i.e. with oily skin and treated, brittle and dull lengths. In this way the oils will penetrate the hair fiber nourishing and regenerating it. To facilitate the absorption of the compress, wrap the hair in a towel wet with hot water and wait at least 30 minutes before rinsing.

Post shampoo oil: If we apply the oil to wet or damp hair after cleansing and before drying, it will help us avoid frizz and protect the fiber from thermal tools (hairdryer and straightener). In fact, the oil will act as an occlusive, preventing the evaporation of humidity and dehydration of the hair.

Styling oil: On dry hair, the oils give shine and fix the hairstyle, but be careful not to weigh it down too much. On days you use oils, don't saturate your hair with other styling products, as they add weight and attract dirt. If you want volume, lightness and a healthy look, less is more!

One last tip: the temperature of the oil is also important at the time of application. If it is cold and solid it will leave a greasy look, while if you rub it on your hands to warm it up a bit, it will penetrate better and without leaving the hair thick and greasy.

As always, the floor is up to you. What are your heart oils? And how do you usually apply it?
