Il burro di Karitè può essere usato per mantenere elastica ed idratata la pelle del viso e del corpo, per lenire arrossamenti e screpolature (delle mani, delle labbra, derivanti dall’uso di pannolini nei bambini), come dopobarba (attenua rossori e pelle secca), per massaggi, come prodotto solare: sia per le esposizioni al sole (contiene naturali filtri Uv), sia come doposole (grazie alle sue proprietà idratanti, emollienti e lenitive), per i capelli (sia come impacco pre-shampoo, sia per tenerli a posto. In Africa la pianta del karitè è chiamata “L’Albero della Salute”.
