Description
L'essential oil of tea tree, also known as essential oil of tea tree or tea tree oil, is extracted from the leaves of the tree Melaleuca alternifolia, plant species native to Australia. In various areas of Australia the spontaneous collection of the leaves of this plant is still carried out, which will subsequently undergo a delicate distillation process using water vapor. It has healing and disinfectant, antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Ways of use:
Employ it as antiseptic in case of minor injuries. Apply it to the affected areas with a cotton ball after diluting two or three drops in vegetable oil.
In case of acne problems and inflamed pimples that seem impossible to defeat, use tea tree as a shock treatment by applying a drop, preferably diluted, directly on the imperfection.
For fight dandruff, dilute ten drops of tea tree oil in a bottle of neutral shampoo (without perfume and based on vegetable surfactants) which you will use as usual.
Make a natural mouthwash with a disinfectant and refreshing action by diluting a teaspoon of baking soda and two drops of tea tree oil in a glass of water.
The tea tree oil effectively fights the bad smells caused from sweating. Therefore it can be added to the preparation of a natural bicarbonate-based powder deodorant, which you will obtain by combining 50 gr. of the latter 8 drops of essential oil. Store everything in a tightly closed glass jar.
For a toning massage, add 6 drops of tea tree essential oil to 20 ml of sweet almond oil.
It can be employed as antifungal in the classic pathologies that affect the feet of those who practice sports such as swimming and often attend swimming pools or gyms.
