Ghassoul Saponifera Clay – Tea Natura

In Morocco there is a clay called "saponiferous" used for many centuries (XII° – XIII°) by all the populations of North Africa and by those of certain regions of the Middle East. This clay is called "Ghassoul" or "Rassoul", whose term derives from the verb "Rassala", which in Arabic means "to wash".

Ghassoul is extracted in Morocco and comes from deposits, known throughout the world, located on the edge of the Middle Atlas, on the Moulouya valley, about 150-200 km away. from Fes. The extraction is very old and takes place in underground mine galleries. Once extracted from the underground galleries, the Ghassoul is treated and washed with water to eliminate its impurities, it is then placed on large flat surfaces or mats and dried in the sun. In this way a pure product is obtained in the form of plates or in powder and marketed.

How to use:

before being used, Ghassoul must be prepared as follows: mix the clay with water in a glass, wood or terracotta bowl with a wooden spoon, stirring until a homogeneous paste is obtained which will be applied to the hair, the face and body with circular movements, then rinsed off.

The quantity to use is about a spoonful for short hair and two or more spoons for long hair.
