Organic Tulsi Holy Basil – Le Erbe di Janas

Tulsi Basil, from the Lamiaceae family, is defined as the Elixir of long life and in India it is considered a sacred plant that identifies Lakshmi, the wife of Vishnu, symbol of the harmony of Beauty and Goddess of Fertility.
HAIR: Tulsi is a plant rich in mucilage and can be used on hair to treat dandruff, infections and scalp irritations and to make hair shiny. Particularly suitable for the treatment of oily hair.
SKIN: It is indicated for preparing masks to be applied to the skin of the face in case of eczema, psoriasis, itching and small wounds. It moisturizes and mattifies oily skin, removes deep-seated dirt and is excellent for preparing the skin for makeup. Adds luminosity to the face: the antioxidants present in Tulsi make the face look younger and fresher. Used as a scrub, it helps to make the face luminous and remove dark spots; it also lightens the appearance of scars and dark marks left by acne.
HISTORY AND CURIOSITIES: According to the Indian tradition the Tulsi opens the gates of heaven, for this reason a leaf is placed on the chest of the dying person and after death his head is washed with a solution of linseed and Holy Basil.
How to use:
Prepare with plenty of boiling water, leave to infuse for 30 minutes, filter and use the Tulsi infusion as it is or to prepare other herbs or clays to replace water. Alternatively mix the powder with hot water until you get the consistency of a yogurt. Add any other Herbs or Clays for a synergistic effect. Cover the container and leave to rest for 20 minutes. Apply the paste to dry or slightly damp scalp, massaging with light circular movements. Also apply on the lengths. Cover the hair with plastic wrap and leave on for 20 to 50 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and make a light and diluted shampoo. As a face mask, the processing time is 15 minutes. Do not let the mask dry, but keep it moist by dispensing water or aromatic waters on the skin.
