Description
Loofah, luffa in Italian, is a vegetable sponge extracted from a cucurbit that grows in Southeast Asia.
The Loofah is used in its natural form, by cutting the fibrous lattice of the fruit into pieces and obtaining from it 4 -5 sponges depending on the size of the plant. With this fruit, bath knobs and back washing strips are made. In some sponge versions, the loofah part is combined with a soft fabric part for the most delicate areas of the body.
During processing, a wooden handle can be applied which makes it a back washing brush.
