Natural henna – Centifolia

Pure and without additives, this "Caramel Brown Henna" Centifolia obtained from hand-picked and naturally dried plants, combines a natural warm and coppery color with a wonderful hair treatment that will give it volume, brilliance and vigor. It also covers white hair.

Henna Centifolia are all vegetable 100%, pure and without additives. Selected with great care for the happiness of your hair. They represent the natural coloring solution par excellence and are equally effective for beautifying and strengthening the hair and for purifying the scalp.

For fine, dry or sensitive hair it is recommended to add 1 or 2 tablespoons of your choice of Castor, Coconut, Argan oil or Shea butter (slightly melted) to the mixture, this because henna can slightly dry out the hair fibre.

Ways of use:

Gradually pour hot water into a large bowl and mix until you get a smooth paste. Be careful not to use a metal spatula to avoid altering the quality of the powder. Before applying the mixture let it sit in the bowl covered with nylon to allow the color to develop.

Dosage:

• Short hair: 50 g of henna in 150 ml of water
• Medium length hair: 80 g of henna in 300 ml of water
• Long hair: 150 g of henna in 450 ml of water

Application tips: Apply a thick layer of the mixture strand by strand to preferably unwashed hair. After distributing the mixture throughout the hair, wrap it with a nylon film and leave it in place. Processing time can vary from 1 to 12 hours according to porosity, hair color and the desired result. Then rinse your hair thoroughly until all residue is removed. The final result will only be visible after 2 or 3 days, the time it takes for the color to oxidize. To fix the color for longer you can use the Centifolia no-rinse spray conditioner because thanks to its acidity it closes the scales of the hair.

Depending on the type of hair, the percentage of white hair and the desired shade, it may be necessary to make two applications.

Precautions for use: 

• Do not apply henna or dye powder to permed or chemically treated hair for less than 2 months.
• Before each coloring it is advisable to carry out a detox mask**
• Protect areas of skin that are at risk of being colored by henna (on the forehead and behind the ears) by applying a thick layer of moisturizer or vegetable oil.
• Wear gloves when preparing the mixture so as not to get your hands dirty.
• Do not use metal utensils during the preparation of the mixture in order not to alter the quality of the powder. Attention the utensil used could remain coloured.
• It is advisable to test the color on an inconspicuous strand of hair before applying the entire colour. Wait 24 hours before seeing the final result.
• Do not perm or chemically dye after a natural or henna dye before, for at least two months.

How to prepare a detox mask at home:

Amount of ingredients to prepare a detox mask for medium length hair:

• 75 g of white or green clay (in powder)
• 75 g of Rhassoul clay
• 3 tablespoons Macadamia oil
• 200 ml (approximately) of hot water

Mix the clay together with the Rhassoul and Macadamia oil by pouring hot water, until a relatively homogeneous paste is obtained. Apply the mixture to the hair strand by strand and massage the scalp. Leave on for 20 minutes wrapping the hair with a film. Finally, rinse the hair abundantly until all residues are eliminated.
