Cold Red Henna – Le Erbe di Janas

Henna coloring powder is obtained from the dried leaves of Lawsonia Inermis, a plant of the Fabaceae family, used for thousands of years for ritual and decorative purposes and for dyeing fabrics.

Il suo potere Colorante Rosso è dovuto alla presenza di glicosidi che liberano un pigmento giallognolo, rossastro all'aria, e che se presenti in differenti percentuali possono conferire sfumature diverse alle colorazioni a base di Hennè. Questa molecola è il Lawsone, e si lega alla cheratina,la proteina del capello: l’hennè, quindi, non penetra nel capello come le tinte chimiche, ma si lega alle sue squame, in questo modo, non solo protegge il capello, ma lo volumizza aumentandone il diametro del fusto. La chioma risulta più voluminosa, luminosa e protetta dagli agenti esterni. L’Hennè è, inoltre, un potente sebo-normalizzante e antiforfora.

Hair:

L'Hennè è l'unica Erba tintoria in grado di stratificare e legarsi alla cheratina del capello, pertanto può essere addizionata ad altre Erbe tintorie per creare le tonalità desiderate, che dipenderanno dal colore del capello su cui viene applicata la pasta e dalle percentuali dei vari ingredienti del mix di Erbe. Oltre alle proprietà tintorie, l'Hennè previene la forfora e ne aiuta l'eliminazione, poichè ha azione riequilibrante sul cuoio capelluto, grazie alla presenza dei tannini dalle proprietà astringenti e dermopurificanti. È sebo-normalizzante, disciplina e rende i capelli forti e luminosi.

DYEING NOTES: With Cold Red Henna it is possible to obtain

• Rosso intenso su capelli castano chiaro
• Rosso ciliegia/mogano su capelli castano medio
• Riflessi ciliegia/violacei su capelli castano scuro/neri
• Rosso rame freddo su capelli biondi

HISTORY and CURIOSITIES': In East and Mediterranean Africa, Henna is used to make auspicious and protective temporary tattoos (Mehndi) on hands and feet. The Mehndi drawing ritual involves women of the whole family and/or tribe and can be performed on particular occasions such as weddings: in India the wedding Mehndi includes the initials of the spouses and often their portrait.

Method of use:

Mix the Henna powder, depending on the volume of the hair, with warm water. Add half a glass of vinegar or lemon. Leave the container well covered for about 12 hours (about 6 hours in summer). Apply to dry and perfectly clean hair. The paste can also be prepared with only boiling water and applied immediately. Installation: 1/3 hours. Rinse thoroughly, shampooing is not necessary. Apply a small amount of conditioner if your hair is dry.

• FOR SHORT HAIR: 100 GR
• FOR HAIR LIKE HELMET: 150 GR
• FOR SHOULDER HAIR: 200/250 GR
• FOR HALF HAIR' BACK : 350/400 GR
• FOR WAIST HAIR: 500/600 GR

For fine hair with a ponytail that does not exceed 7 cm:

• FOR VERY SHORT HAIR: 30 GR
• FOR SHORT HAIR: 50 GR
• FOR HAIR LIKE HELMET: 70/100 GR
• FOR SHOULDER HAIR: 100/130 GR
• FOR HALF HAIR' BACK : 200 GR
• FOR WAIST HAIR: 350/400 GR

THE QUANTITIES' THEY ARE INTENDED FOR STRAIGHT HAIR, IF YOU HAVE WAVY OR CURLY HAIR PULL THEM TO UNDERSTAND MORE' OR LESS WHERE THEY WOULD GET IF THEY WERE SMOOTH.

These quantities should be respected at least the first two/three times that Henna is applied, then it can be reduced to maintain the colour. but if there is white hair, it is recommended to continue with the indicated quantities.
